The SWA Wamanrao Deshmukh Education and Welfare Foundation aims to improve society, inspired by Dr. Sandeep Deshmukh and his grandfather, Swa Waman Rao Deshmukh, who believed in supporting women’s education when it was often ignored.
A personal health crisis of Dr. Sandeep Deshmukh, involving major surgery, highlighted the urgent need for accessible healthcare for everyone, especially middle-class families facing high medical costs. This led to a focus on providing quality medical care to those in need.
The foundation started with healthcare but soon saw how important education and supporting women are for community growth. It works to teach young people skills for success and independence.
Now, the foundation also looks after rural development, running rehab centers, and improving infrastructure in India’s remote areas. Its main goal is to help the less fortunate with a spirit of kindness and empowerment, concentrating on healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, and rural development to make a better future for everyone.
